The On-line Information for Your Business

Changing the Online Information for Your Business

The information for individual employers we display is from Data Axle®, a private firm who provides their employer database to state employment security agencies under contract with the US Employment and Training Administration. Since the database is proprietary, the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development's Labor Market Information section cannot alter the information even though the data are on our website.

However, employers can change and update their own record. To do so, call 1(800)794-1404 or go to Data Axle's® express update website. While this will change the information within 30-60 days, we receive an updated file only twice a year. We cannot guarantee when your information will be corrected on our website.

If you need additional assistance, you may contact Data Axle® at contentfeedback@data-axle.com or by phone at 1(800)794-1404.

How Does Data Axle® Compile Their Data?

Each day, Data Axle® data specialists scour thousands of sources to add new data, update existing records, and eliminate duplicates. They call companies on a regular basis to verify valuable information and ensure the data is current, accurate and relevant.

The information sources include:

  • Phone books
  • New business filings
  • Daily utility connections
  • Press releases
  • Corporate websites
  • Annual reports
  • User-generated feedback

Questions may be directed to Sarah Hoffman, Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages (QCEW) program manager.

The Large Employer file as previously displayed is no longer available.

The information on this site is updated regularly. The same search run at another time may produce different results.
