The Governor's Council on Workforce Investment establishes a state workforce investment board with strong leadership, and a commitment to the collaboration of business, labor, state and local government, educational institutions, and workforce-related organizations. This Council Home Page provides support to the council members and information to the general public and stakeholders of Wisconsin's workforce investment system.
National Association of Workforce Boards (NAWB) represents business-led Workforce Boards that plan and oversee state and local workforce development and job training programs. Our members are volunteers working in their communities to create a more highly skilled workforce. Workforce Boards consist of public and private sector members who are leading the way in workforce development so that America can remain competitive in the global marketplace.
WorkforceGPS Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor's Employment and Training Administration (ETA), WorkforceGPS is an interactive online communication and learning technical assistance (TA) platform that was designed to communicate with and build the capacity of the public workforce investment system to develop and implement innovative approaches to workforce and economic development in the 21st Century economy. This website, which offers resources and peer-to-peer connection, supplements other TA provided by ETA's national and regional staff to help the public workforce system, education professionals, and business.

BLS Handbook of Methods, Chapter 2, Employment, Hours, and Earnings from the Establishment Survey provides detailed information about the methods and procedures for the survey that is used to collect data each month on employment, hours, and earnings from a sample of nonagricultural establishments (including government). There are 11 sections in Chapter 2 ranging from interesting background information on through very technical explanations of methodology.

The Office of Occupational Statistics and Employment Projections develops information about the labor market for the Nation as a whole for 10 years in the future. The Employment Projections home page offers a wealth of information on career outlooks, detailed projection statistics in database format and detailed data for researches.
State Occupational Projections information on this site allows projected employment growth for an occupation to be compared among States. It also allows projected employment growth among occupations to be compared within one State. New ten-year spans of occupational projections are updated once data for all states has been collected.

The Local Area Unemployment Statistics (LAUS) program produces monthly and annual employment, unemployment, and labor force data for Census regions and divisions, States, counties, metropolitan areas, and many cities, by place of residence.
National Labor Force Statistics Table A-1. Employment status of the civilian population by sex and age derives it's figures from the Current Population Survey. In addition to Table A-1, there are many other combinations of historical labor force data available. Query by various federal tables for the past 10 years.
